Former Director

In order to implement the strategy of environmental protection- sustainable development, it is necessary to establish a strong national potential of environmental science and technology. During the last years, although Vietnam has still faced with many difficulties, the Government has spent a huge investment by the domestic and foreign expenditure to create a fairly complete infrastructure for the School of Environmental Science and Technology- Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Such investment certainly is not out of expectation so that the institution can satisfy to some extent the above-mentioned strategic duty.

In the duration of its establishment and development, INEST has had spectacular steps, and overcome initial difficulties and obstructions. Today, with existing experiences and tradition and line-up in the peak of science and technology of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, we believe that INEST shall have impressive growth steps and become an advanced research and training institution keeping pace with international organizations.
